To get this four-season porch in Maynard’s Presidentials neighborhood ready for spring, construction has continued steadily through the winter. The structural frame is now complete, and the perimeter walls will be infilled next. We can already imagine the large expanses of glazing that will form much of the facade, filling the space with natural light. Construction is underway on this addition and alteration project, where a pretty good house in a pretty terrific setting had long felt stuck in a bad relationship; a common malaise. We relish the challenge of cultivating a richer reciprocity here, composing a holistic, singular, and congruous place.
