Many Massachusetts towns now permit Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) on parcels zoned for single-family homes. In their April 2020 Annual Town Meeting, the voters of Concord will consider revising their Zoning Bylaw to enable ADUs. The studio above this backyard garage could readily be converted to a one-bedroom or studio apartment of approx 720sf.


On the Boards: Barn Catering Kitchen
This 1900's barn project re-organizes the lower level standard bays into an expansive catering kitchen with dining room, neighboring gym and bathroom. The kitchen will accommodate food-centric functions and events in the main barn space, and serve as an additional entertaining space for the family. Much of the timber was re-designed and re-built to accommodate the new program. The interior wall planes will be restored in-place for the warmth and character of the original ma
