HUNTING LODGES POCONO MOUNTAINS, PA & LITTLETON, MA

Several years and hundreds of miles apart, two kindred hunting lodges were designed; The first, a retreat from weekdays on New York's Upper East Side to weekends in the Poconos, and the second a home-base for a busy Massachusetts entrepreneur.

Central among things these projects shared was their clients' desire for a place to slow down and feel the textures and rhythm of real life. Place-making responses to this desire for grounding employ gestures and materials that communicate shelter and refuge and and a tactile earthliness
