On the Charles River Esplanade

In Boston's Back Bay,

Arguably the most charismatic and magnetic of Boston's green pubic spaces, the Esplanade offers little in the way of robust year-round ammenities to Back Bay neighbors or visitors from further away.

The Moonlight Studio's first project, Between the Storms, Boston 2020  imagines extruding Dartmouth, Exeter, and Fairfield Streets over an all-the-more-often flooded Storrow Drive, stitching the esplanade to the fabric of the Back Bay. The MTA's new aerial tram Cloud Service

Seen here from high above the Charles River, barges on a continual rotation with Sister Cities up and down the East coast enrich the esplanade with a constantly re-freshed set of athletic, cultural, recreational, and commercial opportunities.
