On the site of a much smaller house which had rambled oddly in its old-age, this big house assumes a place of pride and dignity along the short leg of a triangular common, charging the public realm with a presentation almost civic in its directness.


Designed for engaged community members, the house’s grandly scaled entertaining spaces accommodate functions on a wide range, from family celebrations to fund-raising. events.
